Candle Care & Safety

We care about you getting the most out of your candle! Read on to hear our tips and tricks for enjoying your candle safely...

  • Keep your candlewick trimmed to a 1/4 of an inch throughout the entire burn time. This prevents your candle flame from getting to tall or out of control. It also stops your wick from curling inward and becoming lost in the wax. We recommend investing in a wick trimmer to best enjoy the candle experience (easy to find and only around $15-20!).

  •  For the first candle-use:  To make sure your candle burns well and to avoid memory rings, we suggest burning your candle for 3-4 hours the first time. This may differ depending on the size and shape of your candle. We recommend allowing your candle to melt completely to the edge of your container but burn for no more than 4 hours.

  • Don't burn your candle for more than 4 hours.

  • Please burn your candle safely and never leave it unattended. We know it is easy to forget a candle burning somewhere in your home, but make sure you never leave a candle unattended to avoid accidents.

  • How to know when your candle is done? When the candle has less than a 1/2 an inch of wax left, it's done! To reuse your container, fill with boiling water and allow to cool completely. The wax should rise to the surface of the water for easy removal. Scrub with dish soap and hot water to remove any remaining wax. Or, return your candle to us for a refill and we will clean them for you!
